I Saw Her Again

Sunday Stealing: The Three Wishes Meme, Part Tooth

26.) If you had to order from a kid's menu, what would you get? Sick.

27.) Do you speak any other languages? Goa’uld and Ancient.

28.) Do you use Twitter? We have an account @wtit. Can’t say we use it much, but we grabbed WTIT at both Twitter & Facebook when they started. Facebook we are active on.

29.) Do you go onto YouTube? Yes. Who wouldn’t?

30.) Do you play Angry Birds? No. I guess I’m not angry enough.

31.) Do you like theme parties? I did a longtime ago in a universe far, far away.

32.) Do you like current cartoons? I read Dilbert & Zits.

33.) Have you ever cried because you were so happy? I don’t recall.

34.) Who would you like to see in concert? I’d see Paul again. I’m a lot less a concert going person now than when I was younger. Too much of the scene is annoying. The only person I’d love to see for the first time is The Boss.

35.) Can you swim well? Yes.

36.) Ever won a contest? I won a 45 when I was a kid. It was “I Saw Her Again” by The Mamas & the Papas. Years later I saw “The New Mamas & Papas” at a restaurant. Mackenzie Phillips had taken her step mom’s place and Spank McFarland sang Cass Eliott’s part.

37.) Ever won a giveaway? Moving right along…

38.) Do you get a full 8 hours of sleep every night? Yes, but I prefer 10.

39.) What tea do you like? None of the above.

40.) What mixed drink do you like? Smirnoff & Water.

41.) Do you shop at Walmart? Only as a last resort. I do 99.9% on line. I last went to try the Dr. Scholl’s foot machine.

42.) Do you shop at Target? No.

43.) What do you order at your local coffee shop? I don’t do coffee or its shops.

44.) Do you drink bottled or tap water? Tap.

45.) Do you like homemade meals? No, I’d rather them frozen and tasteless.

46.) Do you like homemade baked goods? No, I’d rather them frozen and tasteless.

47.) Do you shop online? Just shoot me.

48.) Name 3 stores online stores you would like to shop at: If it’s not on Amazon, then I probably don’t need it.

49.) What holiday don't you like? I never gave this a thought until this question. So, after much thinking…{drum roll} I can’t think of any.

50.) What do you eat more when you're sick? Won ton soup is my sick food of choice.

A player on Saturday 9 left a message on that post asking me my age. She wanted to know if I had children her age (I do). For the life of me, I cannot figure out how this will change the universe as we know it. My best guess is for some reason she always thought I was her age. Why I am mentioning it here is anybody's guess. Since I haven't wrote for Saturday 9 for at least 6 months, it's weird that I even read it. As far as you knuckleheads go, have a great week. See you next time, if there is one. If yes, same time & same blog.

Here's Johnny!

Saturday 9: Tunnel of Love

1) Do you enjoy amusement park rides? Not really. My daughter, who is now 38 and has two kids of her own, once wrote in her blog that she loved that I rode on every ride with her at amusement parks. Then she added, “It meant a hell of a lot more when I found out later that he didn’t like roller coasters or Ferris wheels.” Truthfully, I still miss my kids. I mean AS kids. They thought I knew EVERYTHING. We are best friends now & I love being with my grand-kids, but nothing tops watching them grow up.

2) In this song, Bruce likens romance to riding through the tunnel of love. The Red Hot Chili Peppers sing about a "Love Rollercoaster." What amusement park ride reminds you of your relationships? The Fun House.

3) Bruce's nickname is The Boss. Who was your best boss? What made him/her a good supervisor? When I was in marketing at a Fortune 500 company, my boss not only took my advice on my projects but also had me help her deal with other projects. I never felt more respected, since I left radio.

4) Bruce's father was a bus driver and his mother was a legal secretary. What professions did/do your parents work in? My dad owned a hotel chain. Mom, worked for the state before becoming a full time homemaker.

5) Bruce met his wife Patti at a bar in Asbury Park. Do you believe you can pick up lasting love in a bar? I don’t really believe in “lasting love”. At least until Kathy. I met both my 2nd and current wife at bars, so yes. I believe that’s why god made bars.

 6) Springsteen was unable to work for years because he was embroiled in a lawsuit with his management company. Have you ever been sued, or sued someone else? Other than a couple of small claims matters, no.

7) Bruce won an Oscar for writing the title song for the Tom Hanks movie Philadelphia. Do you have a favorite Tom Hanks movie? No.

8) Bruce's official Twitter account (@springsteen) has more than 389,000 followers. Do you tweet? If so, how many people follow you? No, I just do facebook. I have a twitter account @wtit. But truthfully it was more to hold that handle if I got into serious tweeting. So far, it hasn’t happened.

9) Bruce's drummer, Mighty Max Weinberg, led the band on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Who do you think is funnier -- Conan or Jay Leno? Or are you looking forward to Jimmy Fallon? Can I go for Door Number 4? No one has come close to “Heerrreee’s Johnny”! Jay Leno and I went to college together. So of the rest, I’d pick him.

Another stellar effort from The Gal. We will join Kwizgiver’s Sunday Stealing next time! Today is my son Ben's 36th birthday. Party! Peace. Join us then, same time & same blog.
